She is very scared but it slowly coming around. Please give her a chance in your home. Not sure if it's the right choice? You are welcome to foster her for two weeks while she adjusts to living in a new home. It will take at least 2 weeks for her to start showing affection. She is heartworm positive and we are not able to treat them at this time. We are using heart guard to help slowly kill the worms, but once she is adjusted to loving people we will be happy to treat the worms with rapid treatment for you if she is still positive.
Morning Caretaker note: Molly is a super smart dog. Look in her eyes and you can see her working things out. She is a Thinker.
Molly came from a hoarder situation in Tennessee. The individual collected 115 dogs and kept them in disturbing conditions. We have another dog from this rescue, his name is Harley.
I have worked with Molly since she came to us. She has gone from a very emotionally distant dog to one that enjoys life. She had little to probably no human contact where she lived in Tennessee.
I have gone from not being able to get near her to her now eating out of my hand.
It took a long time but she has progressed to playing with toys and once when I had fresh peanut butter (hint, hint) enjoyed a Kong.
I have at the time of writing this, 11/3/12 worked with Molly and Harley four times with a leash.
11/14/12 Update: Molly is now in foster with a horse trainer. She will be working on leash training and socialization with her.
